Strategic Partnership Addresses Diverse Inputs to Impact CTMS

RealityCorp, a Delaware-based firm that specializes offers an automated testing and validation solution for clinical data systems, has formed a strategic partnership with Malvern, PA-based Y-Prime Inc, a clinical trials system developer, to offer DataLoader for use with the Perceptive Informatics' Impact CTMS (clinical trial management system).

The DataLoader addresses the need to manage and prioritize increasingly diverse inputs to Impact, and assure a rapid flow of accurate clinical data forward, so that the availability of near real-time enrollment information can provide management with better visibility for decision making. Given the high overall cost of these trials across the industry in an uncertain economy, improved timeliness and integrity of trial data moving through the process is critical and can provide a very substantial cost saving to a pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical firm.

“After supporting multiple integrations with many vendors for a major pharmaceutical firm, we saw the need to standardize our approach to save time and money,” says Shawn Blackburn, CEO of Y-Prime. “The DataLoader allowed us to save countless hours in set up and maintenance. We can now re-focus our team’s efforts and budget on improving the output of CTMS instead of the input.”

"The DataLoader has proven consistently effective for us in improving the timeliness and accuracy of our enrollment data”, says a user at a major international biopharmaceutical organization. “It allows analysis, billing, and other key post-capture activities to begin sooner, without the concern of error from manual entry.”

“We have seen a keen interest on the part of both Sponsors and CROs to continue to evaluate solutions that will make the set-up, implementation, and support of clinical trials faster, better, cheaper, and safer,” says Carlton Schowe, President of RealityCorp. “Our experience with Y-Prime’s DataLoader coupled with our automated testing capabilities has proven to be a huge success with our clients. We are extremely excited to develop a more formal partnership from which our customers will surely benefit.”

RealityCorp and Y-Prime have previously configured and installed the DataLoader in major pharmaceutical and life science companies in minimal time. The DataLoader is designed to be a onetime setup task, so ongoing support resource requirements are insignificant. On the strength of the success of the installations to date, the firms can confidently offer a fixed price quote that includes automated testing of the system overall.

Y-Prime is based in Malvern PA and specializes in development of clinical systems for pharmaceutical companies. The systems are typically designed to extend the capabilities of off the shelf configurations. Y-Prime offers a depth of Perceptive IMPACT experience and is adept at application development, system implementation, data integration, and operational support. www.y-prime.com
