Interview: Dr. Parks is the current Director of the Division of Metabolism and Endocrinology Products at FDA’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) and a board-certified endocrinologist and internist who holds a faculty appointment at Georgetown University Medical Center. The largest of FDA’s five centers, CDER is responsible for reviewing and evaluating sponsors’ new drug applications (NDAs) for both prescription and over-the-counter drugs.
